I'm wondering if any recent TV tuners are applescriptable (particularly the
function of changing channels.)
I know Apple Video Player has a nice dictionary... but I'm unaware of any
APPLE TV tuner cards that work in current generation Macs (let alone a nice
external USB edition like the new one from ATI.) I suspect the Apple Video
Player will not change the channels on other tuners.
I'm interested in using an extra machine as a PVR (Personal Video Recorder)
device (like a TiVo)...
I'm aware of BTV (
http://www.bensoftware.com/) which is applescriptable...
but can only change channels for the old ixTV cards... and I don't believe
the channel changing is scriptable.
Any ideas?
