[OS X] Can I keep an applet from appearing in the Dock?

Fellow scripters,

Subject says it all. I want to run a stay open Applescript applet, but I
don't want it showing up in the Dock. Obviously, this is possible for
regular apps - the Dock doesn't show up in itself, neither do many other
processes.
