Question

Hi, I am complete and total idiot where applescript is concerned and I am trying to learn. I'm sorry if I am not participatory, but 99.9% of the discussions are currently going right by me. I am particularly interested in the scripting of Quark, and a couple of pro-audio apps, such as Peak.

I don't mean to be rude, but I have asked questions before regarding the updating of scripts and received no response. (as a reference, I am trying to update a 4 year old series of privacy scripts, one of which is a chained anon remailer script called "chanmail". I am getting stuck on syntax, as I have an interest in privacy and encryption).

what do I need to do to get some help? or a question answered? or even an "I don't know"?

Below is the query I sent almost 5 hours ago on behalf of a member of the allmacs list:

I am sending this on behalf of a friend:

Darcy writes in Allmacs:
I don't have OS X 10.1, just the 10.0.4, but considering I have AppleWorks
with the MS Word compatibility, and the ability to print/preview to PDF, how can I automate this process (open the .doc as MS Word 2000 format and then print to .pdf) so that I can just drag and drop? I can't figure out the
AppleWorks AppleScript, but if you know how to do that, or use a Unix
solution, please let me know! I need to drag and drop about 300 word
documents and print them to individual .pdf files."

If this has already been addressed, where in archive or which script site would I find it?

Thank you
