I'm trying to get the Finder to move files that have been modified the
day the script is run into a new folder with the date's name. I've got
the new folder put into its correct place, but I can't figure out how
to move files which have been modified or created "today" This is all
part of a larger script for use with pictures downloaded automatically
from our camera. I know this is all very inelegant, but I am new to
this.
Here's what I have so far:
tell application "Finder"
set today to date string of (current date) as text
set targetFolder to name of folder named today of folder "Pictures" of
folder "nealcols" of folder "Users" of startup disk of application
"Finder"
move (every file of folder "Pictures" of folder "nealcols" of folder
"Users" of startup disk of application "Finder" whose modification date
is today) to folder named today of folder "Pictures" of folder
"nealcols" of folder "Users" of startup disk of application "Finder"
end tell
The error I get is "Finder got an error: Can't make some data into the
expected type."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
