FWIW I updated with 10.2.4 both machines on my network today and see that the beta 1.2 has stayed put on the main machine where it was installed the other day, whereas 1.1.2 has been installed on the G3 on which I had not installed the beta.

Though 1.1.2 is three times the size of 1.2, this is not because it's three times as good but because it still contains all the development gear.
