That's right, I am past the point of desperation. When I purchased Script
Debugger I was not informed of its overzealous registration enforcement.
Late Night Software has been most unhelpful with this problem and I risk
getting booted off this list for this request.
I am asking someone to share their SD registration number with me for the
purpose of overcoming this limitation, and I will reciprocate.
It is impossible for me to purchase a second number because my only income
is Social Security, and the $180 price represents a third of my monthly
income.
The option of running a different editor on another networked machine is not
really workable. Expecting the user to logoff of the target machine is just
too unreasonable, especially after waiting for a timeout and forcequitting
Finder just to recover control. I have laboriously developed Applescript as
my backup tool and now the project looks like a waste of time.
Script Debugger is impeding its own development with this policy and there
are competing editors out there with no registration enforcement, albeit not
as useful.

But there is a point at which civil disobedience is a virtue. Its a result
of democracy, just like the right to boycott and demonstrate.
