PLACING AN APP IN THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DOCK (iJoe)

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to AppleScipt & our team has just finished our first software.

Does anyone know how to place an application on the right hand side of the dock beside the Trash?? That's important, because this provides that our application stays in the dock without the need to launch it every time the user logs in.
I use a dock extra called MacReporter which is an app & has been placed there by launching the MacReporter.app file - but i can't drag an application there, only files & folders can be added, as you know. MacReporter relaunched my dock, appeared and it's there since then.

There is a file in Users:MyShortName:Library:Preferences named: com.apple.dock.plist which can be opened by the Plist Editor application which is not scriptable. 8-(
Worse: the file contains alias data which I cannot understand.

SO: Is there any way to add our application to the right hand side of the dock???

Thanks.

iJoe
