Detecting a keypress

Hello everybody,

I'm running into a problem in the development of a droplet script. I need to allow the user to set an option at script launch but to retain the "droplet" feel it should be set by pressing a modifier key.

Is it possible to detect a keypress in vanilla AppleScript ?
