Hi everybody - hope this doesn't come off as too much of a PR/product
announcement.
I wasn't going to announce my latest product FlexTime, because it's
not particularly an AppleScript-related tool. But since it was
released yesterday some users have noticed that its ability to fire
off AppleScripts at regular prescribed intervals make it useful for
certain types of recurring maintenance/whatever tasks that should
only take place during certain work modes. See in this blog how it's
suggested to use it to automatically save a backup of an Xcode
project while working:

I thought this approach was interesting and made it more suitable for

Whereas something like Script Timer or cron is probably better suited
for maintenance type tasks that should happen on a regular basis
every day, FlexTime might be useful for recurring scripts that should
only be active during certain work modes.
