Is it possible to undelete files from Linux EXT3?

Hi,
I am using a MAC and am connected to a Linux EXT3 server, a couple of files
got deleted by mistake from the MAC connected to that server is it possible
to recover the files? (the space was not overwritten yet, so I hope that the
directory information can be recovered and thereby the files.) Any ideas or
tools for that?
Not really an applescript question but maybe you know the answer.
