Evening all!
I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to accomplish either of the following two items.
Quark 6.1, Mac OSX 10.3.9
I'm trying to duplicate a layer. I have figured out how to rename it. I have figured out how to make is invisible or visible. I just can't figure out how to duplicate it. I'm sure it's pretty simple, but I can't get it to work.
InDesign CS, Mac OSX 10.3.9
In playing around with XML Tags, I've found that I can reference what's contained within the tags with very convoluted referencing like this:
set price_4 to XML element id 1 of XML element id 22 of XML element id 2 of XML item id 1
I can then set the contents of what's within the XML tags by using a command like:
set contents of price_4 to "0"
However, if I add or delete XML tags, all the element id numbers change (which makes sense, as much as it also makes my life more difficult), so I want to reference the XML tags by their names/labels.
Is there any way to reference XML tags by name? Please also keep in mind that I'm very much a novice when it comes to XML. I've read just enough to probably get me into trouble! :)
Any help/suggestions on either of these items are greatly appreciated, though I won't be able to actually implement any such suggestions until next Monday, as I'll be out of the office until then. I figured I'd better start polling people now, since I can't find any answers trolling the internet.
Thanks in advance,
Tina
