Dear All,

I am a newbie to the Cocoa development. I need capture camera's video. I found there is a Object-C version of SGDataProc in Apple. It's I needed. But I am using Java-Cocoa. Does anyone have the Java-Cocoa version of this program? I know there is a QuickTime for Java version SGDataProcDemo. But it's in J2SE AWT, not in Cocoa. Maby it's impossible to convert it to java-cocoa?

Furthermore I had develope a Java Swing + QuickTime for Java app on MacOS 9. But I found it runs so slow on MacOS X (java 1.3.1) and it doesn't like a real native MacOS X app. So I am wondering what is the best development platform on MacOS X? I herad the Java 1.4 is better. But Java 1.4 is only on 10.2. I think there are many people using 10.1. And the Swing is too slow, I don't like it. I am using the Eclipse's SWT on Windows. The SWT is better ther Swing, but it is on 10.2 too. And I know the java -cocoa is better than pure java (maybe its mechanism likes SWT). But the quicktime for java only support AWT & Swing now. So I should use Object-C cocoa to get the native MacOS X feature and quicktime?

I found there are only a few developer use java-cocoa. What is the Apple's direction? It's pure Java & Object-C? No Java-Cocoa?

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

ZhaoYu
