We are currently posing as NSWindow to track this. I agree that it is
ugly, and if you find any other way to do it I would love to know about
it.

I filed a feature request for a
"NSWindowWill/DidMoveOnScreenNotification" in June 2002 (#2954021).
They haven't closed it yet, but OTOH it's still only at "analyze" so
they probably don't like the idea...
