NSBorderlessWindowMask window with NSTextView

I'm trying to create a window with a customized appearance that contains an NSTextView. If I apply the NSBorderlessWindowMask style to the window, my TextView becomes non-functional.

Is there any method to achieving a functioning NSTextView in a window without any traditional border elements?
