NSColor and spot colors for PDF generation

Hi!

Any idea, if possible and how to handle spot colors for PDF and screen output?
As PDF format supports spot colors within a PDF document, I am wondering if COCOA is able to handle spot colors, that are saved as real spot colors to a saved PDF and shown as CYMK color on screen.

Any documentation seen or ideas or experiences on this issue?
