Rather than pointlessly complaining, why not ask a question that someone might be able to answer?
I tried to ask about "Value With Pattern" value/formats etc but nobody knew about that either...

You have, though, had answers (in some cases with sample code) to most other bindings-related questions, on and off the list...

The fact is, until docs are available it's all just best guesses and trial and error...

No, it's not. You can ask a well-formed sensible question and see if someone knows.
And the better you ask your question, the more likely it is that someone who knows the answer will actually answer it.

As with anything new, it's just frustrating not being able to have a reference...

Indeed. This, though, does not excuse posting flames about the state of the documentation in lieu of asking sensible questions...

Agreed on all counts mmalc - you and others have been VERY helpful to most/all people in this group myself **VERY MUCH** included... but to tell you the truth I didn't notice anyone flaming (or didn't take it that way). I did make a 'tongue-in-cheek' comment but that was just for levity... I hope nobody took it otherwise! It certainly wasn't intended to be a flame that much I know for sure since I wrote the comment. :)

I also see that Scott did chime in with 'no formatters other than the value' (aka you can't insert a new-line char in the value) which is too bad but at least now I know it simply can't be done and I should move on and not beat my head into the wall trying to guess at something that just isn't possible.

Anyway... I for one never meant to flame about the docs not being available.

Cheers!

Dave
