newbie questions

Hi all,

Is this an appropriate place to ask newbie questions about building projects in Project Builder / Interface builder? if not, can some one advise a better list to do so?

I took a look at this article tonight, and attempted to follow along:
http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2001/05/18/cocoa.html

I followed along fine, but when I try to access the 'size' drop-down of the 'info panel' (whilst having the NSTextView selected), nothing happens... it just remains on whatever pull-down item I had already selected. Am I missing something? Do I need to update Interface builder (2.3.2)?

Also, when I choose "run", the 'document' window has no borders, no texture (i did a quick test), and appears quite buggy -- again, am I missing something?

I've noticed that the above article is dated 2001 -- can any one suggest something similar but more up-to-date?

TIA
Justin French
