High performance fade-in/fade-out of image

  • Subject: High performance fade-in/fade-out of image

Hi,

I was wondering what is the technic used behind the screen saver from Apple that displays image using fade-in/fade-out effect ? Are they using OpenGL, standard Quartz 2D routines or custom assembly language code ? It would be nice if we could use such amazing routine...

Best regards,

Jean Bovet
