Flat button style?

  • Subject: Flat button style?

Hello everyone,

is there a way to create buttons using the "flat" style, as shown in some of the newer Apple applications? Some examples of this style are:

* Safari's toolbar buttons (e.g. back/forward)
* The "+" and "-" buttons near the bottom of the accounts preference pane in Mail (these look almost like the "Square Button" type in IB, but they are not the same)
* Day/week/month view selection buttons in iCal (looks like an NSSegmentedControl, but again it's not the same "flat" look)

My guess is that these are actually images, not standard buttons. I'm not completely sure though... perhaps someone on this list knows more?

Kind regards,
Rene Puls
