Strange "data" files appearing

  • Subject: Strange "data" files appearing
  • From: John Scalo <email@hidden>

One of my apps periodically saves an archived object to a file using
NSArchiver's archiveRootObject: toFile: . The file always has the same name
and it's always in the same place. The problem is that my customers tell me
that they see data files appear in this same location that have names like:

data06e7.000
data13f8.00c
data1806.026
data1871.000
data21bf.004

That seems really strange. What are these files? Why do they appear? As far
as I know, the app doesn't save anything else at this location.

Thanks
John
