I do quite a bit of Cocoa Java, and have never had any problems using
Java arrays in it, can you post the code that fails?
For mutable data though you might be better off using a Vector ( a bit
slower though).
I can't find anything in pure Java that doesn't work in Cocoa/Java, AWT
might be interesting, but Cocoa is far superior alternative to that.
Cheers

Hi,
Java's Vector class and Cocoa's NSMutableArray class are quite similar

I having been learning java for a couple months now and find it rather
easy to learn, but i have just started trying to use the cocoa-java
application in Project Builder (i still have 10.1) and can not seem to
find much info on it. I looked on the ADC but the only tutorial i
could
find was practically a 'hello world'. I am hoping to eventually
create a
database-like application, that will have approx 10,000 entries (each
entry will have 9 parts that have their own display fields). 7 of the
items for each entry will be hard-coded and are not editable. but the
last two are.
Heres my question. in pure java i would probably use something like an
array to store it.
but arrays dont seem to work the same way in cocoa-java and i can find
nothing on how to do them. the only example i could find refuses to
compile because the code contains invalid syntax. despite a copy-paste
into the program.
does ne 1 have ne ideas on how i could go about doing this?
ne thing would be appreciated.
thnx
