Because Apple are annoyingly inconsistent in how they measure file and
disk sizes. Disk sizes are measured in MB and GB (e.g. in
specifications on the Apple web site), but OS X measures MiB and
GiB--then makes things even more confusing by displaying the value in
MiG or GiB in the info window, but labeling it as MB or GB.
I really wish they'd fix that aspect of the Finder...
