Using QT or CoreAudio for this problem seems like swatting a fly with a
sledge hammer. Besides, I took a look at the QT & CoreAudio docs in my
developer folder, and didn't see anything about using them with Cocoa.
The QT PDFs I found look like they pertain to OS 9, and the code looks like
Pascal (?), whereas the only things I see in my CoreAudio docs are Java &
MIDI info. I doubt there are any easy intro tutorials for either.
I made sure to look around at several sites before coming back here to ask
again, including CocoaDev, CocoaDevCentral, Mamasam, etc. I saw that
discussion, but it pretty much comes to the same conclusion as you did.
