Many of you will be aware that I've been creating a set of examples
relating to the new Cocoa bindings and controllers. Unfortunately,
I've been advised that I should remove them. Mea culpa for not
thinking beforehand that even "sample code" is still covered by IP
rules... I'm working with Legal and DTS to try to find a way to
"restore" them as soon as possible.
Hmm, we have this great technology, but word must not get out!
mmalc, we know you are on our side...
To paraphrase Plato:
'who controls the controllers?'
Why the binding of course! Duh ;-)
Hard to express with my little English what I mean, but I hope you
understand me.
Yeah.
I think, something goes wrong at Apple Computer. Big advertising and
the request to use the new binding technology on one side and very
little info and support on the other side,
It is a new and documentation and example are following the release of
the technology, that happens. It of course would be nice to have it all
at once but why wait if the technology is ready and pioneers can jump
in.
And when someone is thinking different at Apple some advocates
immediately stop him.
Well they have to do this type of thing in the interest of IP and
company liability protection. It isn't about not wanting him to help
folks just needing to do it via the proper legally safe channels. It is
likely a temporary thing while they dot the Is and cross the Ts as we
say.
