As far as I know, that feature of the Dock has not been implemented and
icons are only supported in other menus, excluding the Dock. I could be
wrong, but I haven't heard mention of it nor seen it implemented
(beyond windows sporting a window icon, which is a Dock specific
feature for their window menu items, and the state icon [the
checkmark])
If it's not been implemented as I believe, file a bug report with Apple
asking them to implement this or extend the APIs. Let them know you
care :) (
