Yes, I had, but unchecking it, cleaning, and a rebuild do not have an effect.....
But, it made me think, and it turned out that an [mainWindow makeKeyAndOrderFront: self]; in my awakefromnib was the one really causing all the trouble. Obviously, the repositioning occurs after awakefromnib ;-) Thanks a lot for helping me out!

You've probably selected "Visible at launch time" for the window --
unselect it (in IB).
