A few years ago, it was noted that the anticipation prior to a big
Apple event was an important part of the mystique that Mac users thrive
on.
Thus it was decided that since people seem to like that anticipation so
much, for any question posted to an Apple-run mailing list, the time
between when you send a message, and when your message shows up
on-list, is directly proportional to how important and/or interesting
your message is. More interesting means a more time before it reaches
the list. Less interesting and/or accidentally sending personal emails,
will result in the message immediately being posted to the list.

Can somebody explain to me why this list takes so long to post a
message after it's sent? It's sometimes annoying, because there are
always a few answers sent to a question so this results in repetitive
emails. I'm guessing its because so many lists are on apple's servers,
but wasnt sure.
