Hi,

the one but last weekend, the following people

Dave DeLong [us], Sam DeVore [us], Bill Johnson [canada], Joseph J. Strout [us] and Stefan Pantke [germany]

cooperated to submit a solution to the

7. Anual ICFP Programming Contest.

Find details regarding the contest and ant's brain language look at these locations:

http://www.cis.upenn.edu/proj/plclub/contest - the contest
http://www.cis.upenn.edu/group/proj/plclub/contest/ants.pdf - coding ants
http://www.cis.upenn.edu/proj/plclub/contest/faq.php - FAQ

I've prepared the result of our work at the following location
for download [OS X]:

http://www.turingart.com/downloads/AntsWorldBin.sit .

Stuff included:

- AntsWorld -> Simulator the run a world full of small ants
- AntSpeak -> Assembler to simplify coding of ant brains
- ./Worlds -> A set of pre-configured worlds
- ./Ants -> A set of ant brains written in ant core and AntSpeak languages.

Note: Our goal was to write a simulator, a small assembler and some small
ant within 72 hours. Thus, don't expect a super-duper app! It simply
does it's job ;-)

Everybody is invited to download stuff, write small Ant Brains and
have some fun ;-)

AntsWorld might be interesting for educational institutions to show, what
a FSM (finite state machine) is and how it can be used.

As always for suchlike stuff: Use it at your own risk ;-)

Have fun coding AntSpeak

Stefan
