I need to preserve volume alias during all application period life...

But Itunes or other applications and system can rename volume and i lose path
on some drives, someone known how to prevent this??

example,

application start
get paths on audio cd aiff files (ex: "/volumes/cd audio/1 audio
file.aiff", ...)
play audio file 1
...
meanwhile
...
itunes search audio cd information on internet
itunes rename "/volumes/cd audio" to "/volumes/artist cd YYY"
...
application can't play 1 audio file because path is corrupted...
