Using bindings

Is it possible to use bindings to make the value of a radio button to determine the enabled state of other controls? If so, exactly how is it done?

I'm finally trying to teach myself Cocoa, and at the moment I'm tackling bindings. I get the impression from the documentation that bindings will help me accomplish what I want to do, but all of the examples I've seen are different enough from what I want to do that I'm having trouble applying the concepts. In my last attempt, both the radio button and the controls it was supposed to affect came out disabled. Then IB crashed when I quit the simulator.
