The subject line says it all...
Ok, lets be more specific. Is it possible to build a Spotlight
Importer that parses the Core Data database for Code Data
application? I do not mean a Spotlight Importer for a Core Data
Document application, but actually parsing any preferences or
configuration information that is stored by a non-document
application. Some non-document applications actually store a fair
amount of configuration data, and it would be useful to search
through this data quickly from outside the application. Any
suggestions how this could be accomplished? I was thinking about
creating a Core Data parser for the SQL lite database, but not sure
saving to it would be handled correctly by a Spotlight Importer? Nor
was I sure I could have the imported know only to parse the database
associated with the application, instead of all applications
preference database.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve Sheets
