Tableviews like Excel ones
Tableviews like Excel ones

Hi everybody,
As far as I've understood, NSTableView is less more than a "container" for
datas, it gives a representation of them: only if an element is already present
on a cell (a string, a number, a bitmap) it can be altered/modified in any
sort of ways by mean of using tableView: setObjectFor (etc..etc..).
What I'd like to do is quite simple in theory: I want a tableview which behaves
like a normal Excel table; in an Excel table I can click on every cell I
want and instantly the cursor appears there and it permits me to do what
I like.
After having input some datas, by mean of pressing RETURN or TAB, a certain
method for a certain column cell is called (e.g. insert into a database the
value contained into the cell).
Is it possible to do this with NSTableView?
If not, are there any other Interface Builder Palettes that behaves like
this?
Thanks for all the kind replies.
