NSCell with NSImage and text

Are there any examples out there of an NSCell that contains an NSImage and some text and has a special selection color, a bit like in the left tableview in the Finder. Ive found a few examples here and there but they all seem to be hacks. This will be my first attempt at a custom NSCell, hopefully, it will go smoothly. :)
