Hi,

I would be interested in a Cocoa/CoreAudio solution as
well, because the only solution I know is based on this:

   http://lists.apple.com/archives/quicktime-api/2004/Apr/msg00255.html

which is not so elegant and does not work for all kind
of QuickTime movies (an explicit sound track must be
available in order for it to work; in addition, I had
some problems with .mp4 files).

Regards,
Kaspar

I would like to take ay audio file supported by QuickTime and convert it to a snd (and keep the snd in memory, not write it back out to a file), and I'm trying to find the best way to do this. There is probably a call somewhere in sound manager, but is there anything in Cocoa/CoreAudio that could handle this?
