Hi,
this is probably not the right place to send this bug report but, in the vast Apple Web site, I wasn't able to find a better place.
It is about the Lucida Grande font: there is a problem with four glyphs, which have been interverted. The glyph U+1F4A should be at the location of U+1F4C and vice versa. And the glyph U+1F4B should be at the location of U+1F4D and vice versa. This bug is quite annoying because you never know if you have keyboarded your text right since what you see is wrong. You need a lot of self-discipline to convince yourself that what is diplayed is wrong but in fact that text is right. And there is always the risk that others may not realize that there is an error in the font, and they may want to correct your text, introducing and propagating errors...
Strangely enough only the plain version of Lucida contains this error. The bold one is fine...
If this is in't the right place please let me know whom to contact.
A new version of Lucida Grande is needed urgently, and also a communiqué alerting people of this error.
thanks in advance
Yannis Haralambous
PS. Please do not understimate the importance of these characters/glyphs. I use them everyday when writing Greek.
