ABAddressBook removeRecord problem

Subject: ABAddressBook removeRecord problem

Im trying to delete a valid ABPerson from the AddressBook using the removeRecord method. For some odd reason, the method returns true but never deletes the record. Has anyone seen this in the past? What can i do about it? Is it possible that this happens because the ABPerson's ref count is not down to 1?
