Document bundles and rude users

  • Subject: Document bundles and rude users

I wrote a document class that stores it's data in a complex bundle hierarchy and am having a little trouble figuring how to keep all the objects associated with specific documents informed about the current location of their containing document bundle.

Everything works fine if users leave the doc bundles in their original application-relative "Documents" folder, but if they decide they MUST move it somewhere else while it's open, everything will break.

I thought of setting up a k-queue and registering document sub-objects for "document moved" notifications, but this seems a little awkward. What's the best way to keep a large collection of objects informed of the location of their potentially moving home document?

Thanks for any help

Ken
