Displaying arrangedObjects index in Table view?

I'd like to display the index of each item in NSArrayController
arrangedObjects in a Table View (like iTunes does) using bindings. I
was hoping for a Key that would allow this simply, but that doesn't
seem to exist. Searching on Google lead to:
<http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?NSArrayController> which states that
even sub-classing NSArrayController would not allow this.

A very nasty way to do this would be to walk arrangedObjects after
adding an object and store the updated index as part of the dict. I was
hoping for an easier way. Anyone have any ideas?
