HTTP(S) proxy on 10.1+

Hi all,

I'm looking to add HTTP/HTTPS proxy support for the app I'm working on (I'm not the original author). My deployment target is 10.1+ systems.
I've been looking everywhere for documentation on how to handle this, with no luck so far. The System Configuration Framework does provide the proxy host/port, but how do I use that with NSURL?

Also, how can I handle proxy authentication on Mac OS X < 10.3? On panther and tiger, it all works automagically with the system prefs, but the same problem as above applies to 10.1 and 10.2.

Any ideas, any pointers?

Thanks a lot.
