Regarding the bools, this is set in the CodeWarrior target panel "Code
Generation". Then, I've been told, you have to recompile your precomp
headers to make the project compile again.

Yesterday, I factored a framework out of an app, compiled it in Xcode, and
used this framework in my CodeWarrior project. Everything worked fine
except for the few global bools in the framework, which would give different
values when accessed by the framework vs. the main project. Lots of fun.
