missing defaults plist file ?

  • Subject: missing defaults plist file ?

Bonjour !

I have worked out with Aaron's first edition of Cocoa Programming, Chapt 8 : user defaults.
If I run his example code, I get a plist file at ~/Library/Preferences the name of which is the application name.
I notice that if I delete this file, then running again the app, the plist file has been created again.

But nothing happens with my own work - same as the example with some variation in the architecture, but working perfectly fine : I do change the preferred background color which is remembered and executed at next launch, and the panel position can also be remembered.

So, how could this be that that file is missing in my Preferences folder ?

Merci beaucoup.

Francis Derive
