Receiving key events in a new window

  • Subject: Receiving key events in a new window

I have a window containing a subclass of NSView which accepts key events. I'm then programmatically creating a new window, and moving the view to it using setContentView.
While the view is in the new window, it doesn't receive key events - I just get the default system beep. I've tried various combinations of makeKeyAndOrderFront, setInitialFirstResponder, and setNextResponder...nothing seems to work. Any suggestions what I might be missing, or any debugging tips for following key events through the NSResponder chain?

Cheers,
Jon
