Ok, That's insanely bad to do..
It's kCFPreferencesCurrentApplication, not user.
Value would be a CFNumerRef.
CFPreferencesSetAppValue(CFSTR("magicNumber"), (CFNumberRef)[NSNumber
numberWithInt:69000], kCFPreferencesCurrentApplication);

I can get an integer value from a preferences file, but I don't
understand how to use CFPreferencesSetAppValue to set an integer
value into a preferences file. For instance:
CFStringRef key = CFSTR("magicNumber");
CFPropertyListRef value;
CFStringRef applicationID = kCFPreferencesCurrentUser;
CFPreferencesSetAppValue(key, value, applicationID);
Suppose I want to set the preference value associated with
"magicNumber" to 69000; what do I set value to?
