context-sensitive menu for NSTextField

  • Subject: context-sensitive menu for NSTextField

Hi list,
By subclassing NSTextField and replacing the menuForEvent: method I managed to control which menu is returned after a control-click in the field.
A problem arises when the text field becomes the first responder, this is when the default text menu reappears. Where does the menuForEvent: go to now?
Another puzzle I can't seem to solve is how to activate the menu from a button action.
Thanks for the help,
David
