Sorry, I only wanted to acknowledge that particular aspect at the
moment (and to note the future clarification) -- I'll have to think
more about the other issues, and that may take a while...
Regarding though this question:
2) Can the NSURL returned by -URIRepresentation only be archived by
using NSCoding, or will the NSString method I mention work, or is
there some other recommended way of archiving the URIs?
It shouldn't matter how the URI representation is "archived" -- all
that's important is that when it's unarchived it's the same as it was
before.
