"... may not respond to -someMethod ..."

  • Subject: "... may not respond to -someMethod ..."

I have a subclass of NSView which I want to access
from within a NSDocument subclass. Whatever method of
the subclassed NSView I call, I get the compiler
message " <TheView> may not respond to
-theMessageSent". Even with messages, that are
inherited from NSView and which I did not add to the
class. I included all headers where necessary, but the
complain remains. BTW, the view in question is added
to the document's window using Interface Builder and
an appropriate outlet. What is this?

Thanks

Tilo
