Hi List,

at the moment I am rewriting a small app that allows me to do some sound analysis (bat calls) in a very new way.

Problem in short:
ScrollView -> containedView changes size -> Ruler gets "longer"

For the sound oszillogram display I am using the MusicKits Snd/ ScrollingSound (Subclass of NSScrollView) classes. If I add a NSRulerView to the ScrollView of ScrollingSound a ruler is displayed fine. Zooming the sound enlarges the SndView which is subview of the ScrollingSound. The ruler now displays a larger maximum value which it doesn't for example in the Rulers example.

Can anyone give me a hint how to solve that or if it might be easiest to write my own ruler view?

Answers might be delayed since I may be out doing field work the next days.
