Suppress "Bring All to Front" menu item in Window menu?

  • Subject: Suppress "Bring All to Front" menu item in Window menu?

The AppKit release notes for 10.4 say:

We have added an "Arrange in Front" alternate menu item for the "Bring
All to Front" menu item in the Window menu. Applications should not hard
code the indices of items in the Window menu, as the addition of an
alternate menu item, or any other Window menu changes, will change the
indices of other menu items. We have limited this change to applications
built on Tiger or later to preserve binary compatibility.

Is there a way to suppress this menu item if your app was built on 10.4?

It makes limited sense in an application like iCal (which incidentally doesn't have the item - was it built on 10.4?)

It also makes limited sense in one of my apps which already has an "Arrange in Front" menu item, which isn't dynamic, also runs on 10.3, and uses custom logic to arrange the windows rather than a "simple" cascade.

Thanks,
Jim
