Drawing a view onto an image file

Hi all,

I want the following relatively simple thing. I have a web-view, and I want to "draw it" onto an image file, i.e. get in a file a still image of what my view would look like if it where to draw itself on the screen. This might be a RTFM, but I haven't played much with NSView and friends in the past. Any pointers would be very helpful. Ideally, I would like to take a still image of the view every second or so, and put all the frames together into a small movie.
Is any of this doable? If so, where should I be looking at?

Thanks,
