Icon Position on Desktop

Hi,
after I drag a file from my app to the Finder, my app creates a file on the
Desktop. Well. Anwyway the file icon position is random. And I would like to
put the file icon just under the mouse position like e.g. Safari does well.

Do you know how to do? I have been trying with the old Carbon routines but
it seems not to work. Any idea?

Best Regards
